Choosing software

Avio or Adeptis? A straight answer.

We make both, so we've no reason to push you towards one. The short version: Avio is for larger publishers whose subscriptions, corporate deals and finance are complicated. Adeptis is for smaller publishers who want their whole operation, content and advertising included, in one system.

Choose Avio if...

  • you run several titles or product families, in more than one currency
  • you sell corporate and site licences, or need IP-based access for your paywall
  • your finance team needs deferred revenue, a proper sales ledger and VAT handled by rules
  • you want renewals and workflows to run in batches at scale

Choose Adeptis if...

  • you're a small or medium publisher living in spreadsheets and too many logins
  • you run controlled circulation titles with an audit to pass
  • you also publish news sites, sell advertising and need a media pack
  • you want to know which companies clicked your email campaigns

Questions

Can we start on Adeptis and move to Avio later?

Yes. Both are ours, built by the same team, and we have moved publishers between systems before. Your contacts, subscriptions and circulation history come with you.

We have one big title and lots of corporate licences. Which is it?

Probably Avio. Multi-seat licences, IP-based access and a corporate renewal pipeline are where it shines, whatever your number of titles.

Can we have Adeptis features like the news CMS alongside Avio?

Talk to us. Avio is focused on subscriptions, audiences and finance. If you need content, advertising or a media pack too, we'll look at the best way to give you both.

Do we have to run it ourselves?

No. Our bureau team can run some or all of the day-to-day on either system for you.
