Modern slavery statement

We don't tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking, in our own business or in the businesses we work with.

About us

Adept Data Services Ltd (company number 13683172, Suites 6 & 7, 27-28 Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 1AS) is a small UK company. We build subscription and circulation software for publishers and run bureau services for them. Our team works in the UK, and our main suppliers provide software, hosting, telecoms and professional services.

This statement sets out what we do to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking, in line with the spirit of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our approach

Zero tolerance

We don't accept modern slavery in any form, including forced labour, child labour, debt bondage and human trafficking. We won't knowingly work with anyone who allows or supports it.

Our supply chain

We expect our suppliers, contractors and partners to treat people fairly and to comply with the law, including the Modern Slavery Act. We choose suppliers with care, and we'll ask questions where something gives us cause for concern.

Checking for risk

Our work is mostly office-based and our supply chain is short, so we consider the risk to be low. We still look at it when we take on a new supplier, and we review it from time to time.

Our people

Everyone who works with us is employed or engaged on fair terms, and we check that people have the right to work in the UK. We make sure our team knows the signs of modern slavery and how to raise a concern, and anyone who does will be supported.

Reporting concerns

If you suspect modern slavery in our business or our supply chain, please tell us at [email protected]. We'll investigate and take action, which may include ending a contract with a supplier or disciplinary action. You can also contact the Modern Slavery and Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.

Review

We review this statement every year, and sooner if our business changes in a way that affects it.
