Most small publishers sell digital advertising off a spreadsheet. Bookings in one tab, artwork in someone's email, a reminder to swap the banner on the first of the month. Then the advertiser asks how many people clicked, and the answer depends on who you ask and which tool they looked in.
Adeptis handles ad management for every title in one place. Book the ad, set the dates, and the reports are there when the advertiser asks.
Three formats, one place
Adeptis handles three self-serve formats, each scheduled by date and each with click-through tracking:
- Ad banners, placed by position on the page.
- Sponsored ads, as native ads that sit with your content, with a popup type as well.
- Takeovers, for when an advertiser wants the whole site for a while.
Each list can be searched by advertiser, position, heading or URL, filtered by website, and cut down to live ads only. When a sales rep asks "what's running on which site this week?", that's one filter.

Live status takes care of itself
Nobody has to remember to switch an ad on. Status comes from the booking window, so an ad shows as scheduled before its start date, live during it and ended afterwards. The list tells you the truth at a glance.
Reports advertisers can believe
Every ad has a Stats button. The advert report shows views and clicks (with unique counts) and click-through rate, all-time and broken down by month and day. Results are split by website with first-seen and last-seen dates, so if an ad runs on more than one of your sites you can see where it did best.
Two details make the numbers worth trusting:
- Staff IPs are excluded. Your team checking the ad went up doesn't count as an audience.
- Results are cached, so reports open quickly.
That's the report you send at the end of a campaign, and the one that gets the renewal conversation started.
Who uses this
In a small publisher, advertising is rarely one person's whole job. The sales rep books it, someone in production uploads the artwork, and the editor wants to know what's running next to their stories. Because bookings, artwork, dates and results all sit in one place, each of them can check what they need without asking the others, and without a spreadsheet that's only ever up to date on the day it was last saved.
Advertising on the company record
Every advert also shows on the advertiser's company record in the CRM, with views, clicks and click-through rate, linking through to the full report. Before a renewal call, a rep can see everything that company has booked and how it performed, alongside what your editorial team has written about them in the news CMS.
Selling the space in the first place
Ads sell on audience. The media pack works out your circulation and email figures from live data and shows the source of each one, which makes the rate card easier to defend. There's more on that in media pack figures advertisers trust.
And if you run email campaigns for advertisers, email insight shows which companies clicked, not just how many.
How it fits with the rest
Ads run on the same family of sites as your stories, and traffic per title shows on the dashboard. Advertising is one of the things Adeptis covers that Avio doesn't, so if you want subscriptions, content and ad sales in one system, Adeptis is the one to look at.

Questions
Which ad formats does Adeptis handle?
Ad banners, sponsored ads (native, plus a popup type) and full takeovers, each scheduled by date with click-through tracking.
Do we have to switch ads on and off by hand?
No. Status is worked out from the booking window, so an ad shows as scheduled, live or ended without anyone touching it.
Do our own staff's visits count towards the figures?
No. Staff IP addresses are excluded from the advert report.
Can we see how an ad did on each site?
Yes. The report splits views, clicks and click-through rate by website, with first-seen and last-seen dates.
